Beauty : My first lipstick

When I was a little girl, always dream that I can be an artist. When I saw a pen just grab it and start drawing on the plain paper. So, mum notice that I got this talent and send to art drawing class. Also went to few drawing competition. By the time come to secondary school, I told my mother and brother that I want to be an artist/draughtsman/painter. But, they always told me that artist can’t make big money… you will be famous only when you pass away..bla bla bla.. So after brainwashed by them, I canceled the plan.

Somehow I realize that never stop me to playing with my make-up cosmetics..Holding the lipsticks, cosmetics brush is like holding paint brush and color pencil… The only difference is you draw on skin or drawing paper. Well, I think my very first lipstick is Maybelline watershine in Ginger, it is coral peach and the color is very nice. Back to college time, cosmetics from Maybelline is the most pocket friendly and affordable for college student /teenagers. I remember that I also purchased a L’OReal long lasting lipstick..but wasn’t last and it ‘s too dry for my lips. Today, I still feel that I don’t like those kind of fragrance in L’oreal lipsticks. Ohya! Personally I felt that Rimmel is the worst one, in term of the smell.

I think I have few of lipsticks. In term of the scent, MAC consider not bad. While, scentless type I will go for Kanebo and Clinique also not bad. Not a lipstick type of person. I ‘m still very prefer lip gloss, so my lips won’t feel so dry. But nowadays with new technology, lipstick texture can achieve as moisture/glossy as lip gloss. I have one Clinique moisture surge lipstick in first love. The finishing texture is similar to gloss.

For Mac, they have wide range of finishes texture available in their store (e.g. Amplified Crème, Lustre, Frost, Amplified, Glaze, satin, Matte, Crème sheen). The pricing wise, consider quite reasonable, about 65MYR .Kanebo’s lipsticks, the quality is not bad. However price for a lipstick is cost a bomb. In Japan, T’estimo and Coffret D’or from Kanebo it’s just a high-end range of drugstore brand. Two finishes available : Glow or Color. Obviously, one is more glossy and transparent. Another color is more pigment. Normally it cost over 80MYR here. But sometimes if you’re lucky enough, they having promotion you can get 40% less or buy one get one free for old range of products. Well, be careful and you might need to take a look on the expired date/ mfg date.

As I mentioned, I’m not lipstick type of person. So above review just mention few brands that I used before. When comes along with the lip gloss topics, I got alot to share with you. Yup, maybe next time. ^-^
