Online Shopping in Malaysia

I have been stop writing blog about 3years, I think...now YouTube videos have become the pop thing and most of the people have been forget about blog. However, I think some of the people will still prefer blog.

I remember at the early stage when introduce internet online blog that I was very addicted reading beauty blog and product reviews. The worst thing is that it makes me want to buy more things after reading those blog or product reviews. Most of the makeup Guru, they are started with writing blog before they started their own makeup tutorial video in YouTube. So, for my opinion blog and things like YouTube are the business advertising method and for them to make money. Some of the blogger or beauty Guru get sponsored and free products to use or review, and it is one of the tactic to advertise the products.

Internets really change our life and start seeing surround me are online shopping fans now. Few years back, it was not so popular in Malaysia till lately,  most of the items price  has been shoot up (shop rental, water, electricity, transportation, oil and gas of course). No comment on the government subsidy  K .. Even ‘someone’ encourage us to work more a job (part-time job) in order to survive in this country. Life is tough here.

Okay, back to the topic – Online shopping. I think lately I have been addicted to shop online , and I would like to share which and where can find item with lower price and decent quality.

Online boutique:

  2. Hermo (W, $$) * - Asian brands, a lot Korean brand items

Anyway, online shopping can be quite dangerous and will tend to over spend. So spend wisely ;-)

Learning another skill - Professional makeup course

I have been struggling and keep asking advice or opinion from my hubby. I think he has been listening about same topic over a year regarding make-up course. After serious consideration, I decided to enroll Professional Make-up course, taking this course part-time every weekend. I hope this is a good start learn additional skill which can be one of the skill make some pocket money in future.

But, nothing come easily as the fees is quite expensive and some hidden cost is not visible when I signed up the course , especially for the products and tools that need to purchase for the course. Just can feel that my pocket having a big hole now :(
Previously I took  Advance Personal Make-up course from SSimage, so it gives me a little bit basic before I enroll for the Professional Make-up course at SUB Beauty Academy. I do not want to compare both academy, both having pros and cons.
I just attended my very first class, it's a full day class during the weekend and I'm looking forward for next one.

Here is my 1st make-up class : Teenage Make-up Day Look
Eyeshadow: Orange (full moon at eyelid)
E/S Highlight: White shimmer (bow bone - up and low)
Cheek: Pink with Shimmering (towards center)
Lipstick: Natural Pink
Lipglass: Glossy Pink with shimmer

This is my very first time to use orange color eye shadow, personally I don't even own this color as normally I will go for natural color like brown. I'm using beauty academy eye-shadow for my first class.

[sorry, I think I have removed the lipscolor before take this photo. So can't really tell what color of the lipstick and gloss used :p]

Shine bright like a Diamond with Maybelline

Rihanna Shine bright like a Diamond ...

Oops, I missed out this item in last beauty product review... Maybelline Hyper Diamond eyeshadow!
I got mine in GD-1, gold color and it's so glitter powder and so shinny.

Here is the to view with the transparent top cover. It come with a small sponge applicator. the sponge quality is just normal, not so good if compared to KATE. I would say KATE really did a great job for their applicator, brush and puff. They are also drugstore but the applicator quality like counter brands. However the price is towards to the high-end drugstore products here in Malaysia. So, with the price for Maybelline, i think this kind of quality is quite reasonable.

The ingredient in English at the plastic packaging and Japanese description at the back of the casing.
I have no idea why printed in Japanese, probably made in China and selling in Japan too. Since Japanese are the fans of shinning or glitter eye shadow. I guess Maybelline Hyper Diamonds eye shadow sell pretty well in Japan too.

Open the top cover and your can see the reflection of the little shinning glitter particles and the gold color is the most outstanding.

From the other angle, you can see the design of the top plastic cover is diamond cut design. The design really suit the name as well as the eye shadow itself :)

Here is the swatch review of this eye shadow:
I love color #1 the most, it is very pigmented. #3 can put on the top center of the eye lid as a touch of finishing. Overall I'm quite satisfy with the result. I got mine around RM28++ after 20% discount, quite affordable price.

If you have Maybelline color tattoo eyeshadow, you can use it as a base before putting on this Hyper Diamond eye shadow and the color will last longer and much define. Here is the tutorial to show you:

Here is a quick tutorial to show how to direct apply using this eyeshadow and dramatic mascara to achieve Leopard look:

Beauty Hauls for September 2013

Another beauty haul from drug store and Sephora! Yeah!

Recently Sephora open at Penang Paragon mall, so happy that I no need to go all the way to KL and get my favorite cosmetics products (e.g Stila and Urban decay). I love Stila eye shadow, the color pay off very good and UD eye primer is a must have item to keep your eye shadow last and color pop. Let's talk about what I got recently :

L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in BP402 DEWY BEIGE.

Where to buy: Watson Drug Strore
Color: Good quality and color payoff
Texture: Cream
Packaging:  Gold color, Descent and Elegant
Scent: Fragrance Free
Yeah! they have improved on this, last time used smell like typical lipstick scent like wax. I really have no idea how to describe it.

Sephora lipgloss in #24 Dazzling Violet - Reflex
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Asphyxia
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in FLASH

Where to Buy: Sephora
Color: Violet and Purple
Lip gloss scent: Vanilla, smell like MAC lip gloss

I'm used to love brown. This is something different that what I have, so plan to wear more funky color during the weekend and not so serious. Love them all !

1+1 = SIX, and a cup of Cafe Latte

There are a lot of things going on, and we wanted to make it happen. Yesterday I just travel back from my hometown. In fact I just finish my long holiday; but I didn't get enough rest. A lot of discussions at home as well as when I get back to here.

Yesterday he looked at me and says ‘why complicated and bad stuff always happen to you?’ To be frank, I don’t know what he talking about. But I just roughly guess and answered 'well, gods want me to be tough through bad experience'.  Sometimes we want to make it simple but in real life thing wasn't as simple as we thought. Okay, enough for all these emotional talks.

So where have I been recently? Again, my hometown JB-M’sia ; and 2D1N Hatyai-Thailand trip (It was a second attempt trip, haha to be frank I take back my words - I not going to Hatyai again after the my first trip. This second trip wasn't bad and I pretty enjoy).

Here are the places that I visited: JB – New café shop: My Liberica, The Garden and Project A.

I got to know these new places from my little sis, I can say she spend most of the time doing revision study or assignment outdoor (Starbucks, restaurant, etc...). Now a day youngsters know all the new places to hang out unlike us old time just normal Kopi Tiam (traditional coffee house and food) or just neighborhood areas. My Liberica Coffee House, my sister highly recommended this place for coffee if you are a coffee lover and she says they brew their own coffee beans. So,without hesitate why not just give it a try ? The ambient is very nice and clean. You can see the coffee bar once you enter the coffee house and the yellow lighting made a pleasant atmosphere . I came here during Raya Holiday and their business very good. Personally I prefer a quiet place and less people. A little bit noisy due to a lot people chit chat there, kind of spoil the mood a bit. I’m not lucky enough to get to try coffee at The Garden and Project A; these shops is very nearby my house. Well, be optimistic someday I will get to try it.

Here are the photos taken at My Liberica Coffee House:

Outside the coffee house:

Well, it's really works for me! No more frizzy hair!
Feeling smooth after applied on towel dried hair and then blow dry.

What's in my travel make-up bag ?

Hi.....! What's in your travel make-up bag? compact and travel friendly?

I have few make-up bags even I handmade sewed one for myself. One of my favorite travel toiletries or make-up bag is from Muji, which allow me to put skin care, make-up tools/brush as well as make-up products. The quality is very good with reasonable price. Well, sometimes I prefer to put them separately in a smaller make-up bag. So, here comes my smaller make-up bag :) just bought it recently!!!

I got this cute litter make-up bag from SaSa. Aim for this quite sometimes ago, until recently they having sales and straight away grab it. The cover printed with a cute little girl, sweet right?  It seems designed in Korea, made in country 'C' , *cough cough you know what I meant*. The quality of this bag consider not bad. I just put recent frequent make-up stuffs in, and no skin care products except Vaseline lip essence.

What's inside?

Ta-daah! all my recent favorite make-up products that I use it everyday.  I decided to put most frequent use products inside this bag, and it's easy to access and carry when rushing from one place to another. For face, cheek, eye and tools...everything 'in'.

Kanebo Freshel - Mineral BB cream (Pore Cover)

It has been years and now try log-in to my blogspot. My last post was in year 2013, time flies, and browsed through my post and I have drafted 6posts and never been posted before. Since have little bit of free time. Let me retouch and publish this post.

I think I have bought some drug store brand cosmetics in the past and not much review on the Kanebo Freshel - Mineral BB cream during that time. So here is the review and the verdict.

Packaging and description in the nutshell :

Swatches:

Summary/Rating (over 10) :
Packaging: 9 - travel friendly and hygiene
Texture: 9 - matte, lightweight and non-greasy. As described in the box.
Coverage:  7- Sheer, it works like tinted moisturizer.
Pore Cover: 8 - Pretty decent to cover the pores.
SPF: 30PA++: 8 - Good enough for office lady, or for those stay in-house.
Staying power : 7 - I feel like average and it does not last for the whole day.

Summary:
The packaging is in light pink color, it looks cute yet elegant.
It claimed that it is an essence, emulsion, cream, sunscreen, tinted makeup base all in one tube. It act as moisturizing cream plus make up base, as well as provide covering with Oil Control. It's very suitable for those who very busy but need a quick light make-up to even the skin tone or cover the pores before go out.

There are two shade available : natural and healthy shade. The color i picked up is natural. Personally I think color selection is limited, it does not cover for those who have darker skin tone. However it is quite sheer, it is fair enough for most of the Asian ladies with light to medium skin tone and from humid countries since it also help to oil control. For those expect to better coverage, sorry this is not the one for you.

Overall, what they stated at the packaging is true and I'm satisfy. It really cover my pores and oil control, yeah!

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Well, quite a long time I never write any blog. So where have I been ?

I have been travel to a lot of beautiful places and countries. It seems quite happening year for me since 2012 till recently due to health reason have to rest at home. So, have the time to write blog over here.

Feb 2012 : Europe - Netherland, Germany and Belgium
July 2012 : Malaysia - Langkawi
Aug-Oct 2012: USA - California
Dec 2012: Thailand - Hatyai
Jan 2013: Taiwan - North, South, Central
Feb 2013: Thailand - Bangkok, Changmai, Changlai, Golden Triangle & Loas boarder

It was very fun to travel around with someone that you love, family and dear friend (a.k.a Mr. Lingling).
I love antique buildings in Europe, especially in Belgium. Enjoy walking there although it was cold in the winter. So that I can have sight seeing while walking on the streets.

In Taiwan, I love the free and easy time with my boyfriend as we travel to night markets and some town area my own. For me, I know chinese and my dear is a street smarter. I feel very comfortable to travel ourselves here :)
The best of the bubble milk tea we ever try is "Tian Ren" at Taipei. It is fresh and not so sweet as the rest and can really taste the TEA.

Working oversea without family and friends around it is different feeling. Is kinda of mix feeling, got up and down. When I was in Big apple country, uncle Tony told me when I was last day work there. He says "We just start getting to know each other and so fast have to say good bye." Ya, time flies. Another I feel regret is I dont't have a chance to take picture together with my counterpart designer. Uncle Lynn taught me a lot of things which I felt lucky to have a chance to travel oversea to work with US folks. A lot nice people here and they are very experience in this field.

Thailand, of course massage and foods !! You can have pleanty of seafood and it cost you half of cost in Msia. I just feel HOT and HUMID there. Travel at the wrong period and sweat a lot.

color of my life

Woohoo! I just have my pendicure and manicure again!
Well this is not my 1st time to have my pendicure but it's my first time to have manicure.

I have been spotted the nail color shop 1 yr ago, everytime want to try out always full and i'm in the rush can't manage to make it. Finally, today i drop by the shop and made appointment. They're having promotion for first trial new customer, this is why I give a try on their service. The cost for first time is MYR45 for pendicure and manicure.CHEAP! they're using OPI as well...

So I picked special color for my pendicure, give a bling. While as for manicure I have choosen a light pink as I don't wish to show off my fingers at work place. Haha, my boyfriend was shocked when he saw my foot nails color... he was like " oh my god! what.."

Here is the picture why he said so:

Overall, I think the service is not bad. However, I think I'll choose to go back to the previous nail color shop.

> Pro: Using OPI nail colors, cheap for 1st trial customer, marketing trend sign up for course
> Con: didn't provide scrubs, lack of message

Pretty Girl Rock! (part1)

-I can do the pretty girl rock, rock. Rock to the pretty girl rock, rock, rock ..Now, what's your name?-

Sound familiar? Yeah, it is the lyrics from Keri Hilson-Pretty girl rock.

It has been very eventful month for me. When hear about competition and win free stuffs. Put up my hand and say "Pick me pick me!". Haha. Actually I have joined of the beauty events: Shu Uemura 'Nova Diva' contest and "M.A.C ME Over". Both are my fav make up cosmetic brand.

Part 1: Shu Uemura Nova Diva

I love the details of the eye make up from Shu, it is like an art work. I love their lash design, so special. Their false lashes are expensive but their design quite unique.

When I see Facebook Shu Uemura M'sia is advertising the new range of products and message below :

"Print out this e-voucher to get a complete Nova Diva look by our beauty stylist. Snap a picture of your finished look & upload it on our fan page with a caption telling us why you are a Nova Diva and stand a chance to win 1 of 5 Nova Diva Palette worth RM290 each! *no purchase or votes necessary*"

Woah, open my eye big and wide. Since no purchase or votes necessary, why not give a try and join for fun? In fact, my HE got a new hobby and got himself a new professional camera. I asked him to be my camera man. He said" Yes". It was fun and great thing both of us can do things together, yeah!

Here is my Nova Diva pictures :)

Click here to see the Nova Diva products review.

I'm not sure the contest result yet. But, I just join for fun. If didn't get it is okay for me. By the way, the blusher colour is very nice and I got myself one after trying it. The new range of Shu is using different casing, so I have to get myself 1 new casing as well. Ha this is how they make money and how women spend:p

stay tune.. i going to post my M.A.C over me next round. see ya..

人生如戏,戏如人生

Hello, I just change my blog templete. Something new ya.

Have been watching HK TVB series quite sometimes. It seem like some real story happened in real like is similar to the drama series or another way .人生如戏,戏如人生.
Good and bad things happened. Sometimes you can't change a person, so why do you care? People like to compare and copy cat, just let it be.

I saw few music videos.. like 'Pink-Fucking perfect', 'Christina Aguilera- beautiful' .The story of the music video is to tell us to love yourself more. Just be what you are and happy what you have. Some of girls because compare will others and want to slim downwith shortcut. They try extreme diet, drugs without exercise or whatever to achieve the way they want it. whatever.. finger cross no side-effect..Appreciate your life.

Below is the link for the music video:

Happy Chinese New Year 2011! & More Beauty Products!!

Happy Chinese New Year! Rabbit year! Yeah....OK, got little of ang pow money and sponsors from my darling. Time to go to do pedicure and a little bit shopping?
I went for pedicure today, Yeah! Very happy. Normally I will choose unique nail color from OPI. Haha! Since I'm paying for it, of course I want something special. Also removed the thick dead skin under my foot. Ahhh! My left foot not so pain anymore. I think OPI nail color has its quality and of course the price not cheap ya. As usual, I went to the shop I always go "Nail Hansen". Well, their business not bad; every time I went there sure got many customers. So my dear had help me to do appointment through phone. The pedicure package come with nail shaping, remove dead skin, scrub, nail color and nail design. Price? reasonable MYR45. Here's the pictures:

I also do a little bit shopping. Again, very in love with Japanese beauty products. I went to drug store to get Marjolica eyeliner pencil and accidentally saw their LE blusher has been released! The packaging look so lovely. I thought it will release later but not so soon. I just saw it from "Spring" Japanese magazine, March 2011. Just can't believe so fast release in M'sia. The color sold out very fast and left 2 chooices. So i get myself PK301, which not so pinkish. It is like mixture of pink with orange? This color is different from the normal basic color they use to have.

Besides that I also pass by "The Face Shop", a korean brand. I remembered during my last trip in Korea, I did manage to buy skin care products. I bought the rice cleansing foam, and eye-remover (smell nice and effective remove the waterproof eyeshadow/mascara), and BB cream. The packaging is different compared here in M'sia. Price definately cheaper than M'sia. Oh ya! I almost forgot to mention that they are having Valentine's day promotion. I bought myself make-up based and compact power for only MYR79! The make-up based is mousse type and it looked like Shu Uemura make-up base as the size look double of it. Price is MYR69. The sales girl claims that it can smoothen the skin/pores and oil control effect. So let me try first and I will review on it. The individual price is MYR69 for base and MYR39 for the compact. Here is the picture for the things I bought today :)

Haha... my dear went to HKG for CNY and he also bought me some goodies from HKG.

Neutrogena oil free eye make-up remover (Yay! I love this! Very effective), Luvshuca lip gloss, Spring false lashes, SKII toner and Muji container.

Phew, I think I've shared enough this round... will let you know the review on the products next time!
